The properties of argan oil (argania spinosa)
Argan oil has been part of traditional Moroccan lifestyle, skin care and nutrition for centuries. It has always been regarded as a natural elixir of life that maintains and strengthens the body's defences and preserves beauty. The Berbers have known about the special properties of their argan oil for a long time without knowing its exact ingredients. On our numerous trips to the Berber villages, the families and Moroccan doctors told us again and again about the surprising effects that their argan oil can cause.
Based on the research of the renowned phytopharmacologist Prof. Dr. Rachid Soulimani from the University of Metz, France, Prof. Robert Owen from the German Cancer Research Centre (DKFZ) in Heidelberg and the Moroccan professor Zoubida Charrouf, the traditionally used properties of argan oil have been proven in numerous scientific studies. Unfortunately, for legal reasons, it is not possible to go into the health-promoting properties of argan oil in more detail here. For interested readers we recommend the publications in the media (see also press) and the book of Dr. Peter Schleicher "Argan oil". We can represent here only the special and singular composition of argan oil (the indicated values are average analysis values):
In comparison to olive oil, almond oil or rapeseel oil, argan oil has the highest concentration of vital fatty acids and linoleic acid in the natural compound. Argan oil has a balanced fatty acid composition similar to that of sesame oil. The most frequent fatty acids are the monounsaturated oleic acid (syn. oleic acid C18:1, omega 9) and the doubly unsaturated linoleic acid (C18:2, omega 6) with proportions of about 45% and 35% respectively as well as the saturated fatty acids palmitic acid (C16:0, 12%) and stearic acid (C18:0, 5%). The glycerides contained in the argan oil essentially consist of 96% triglycerides, 1.5% diglycerides and free fatty acids as well as 0.3% monoglycerides.
The unsaponifiable part of the argan oil is about 0.5-1.0% and consists mainly of carotenoids (37%), tocopherols (8%), sterols (20%) and triterpene alcohols (20%) and thus contains a considerable amount of biologically active secondary plant substances. Squalene, which only occurs in small amounts in most plants, is present in argan oil in a high concentration (320 mg/litre). Argan oil contains many times more tocopherols than e.g. olive oil (argan oil 620 mg/liter compared to 320 mg/liter for olive oil). Previously alpha-tocopherol (75 mg/litre) was considered to be the most active form of vitamin E, but more recent studies have proven the biological importance of gamma-tocopherol (75%) which predominates in argan oil. Gamma-tocopherol is a much more important and effective antioxidant than alpha-tocopherol. It has an even better anti-radical effect. In the focus of scientists and physicians the sterols of the argan oil move ever more, above all schottenol (48% portion of the sterols) and spinasterol (44% portion of the sterols). No other known vegetable oil contains such a remarkable combination of different sterols as argan oil.
Argan oil contains the four simple phenolic compounds vanillinic acid, ferulic acid, tyrosol and syringic acid in a total concentration of slightly less than 4 mg/litre: this corresponds with the concentration of simple phenols in olive oil. Argand'Or argan oil is free of milk components (milk protein and lactose), egg free, gluten free, yeast free, suitable for diabetics, strictly low in sodium, free of any colouring, aroma and preservatives. Hand pressed argan oils from Agand'Or are 100% pure, untreated natural products. (Source: Argan d'Or http://www.argandor.de)
Who doesn't know the annoying time of hay fever - but mother nature has created a remedy:
... The golden oil of the pharaohs - black cumin, lat. nigella sativa, is a spice plant from the family of the buttercup family, which is not related to caraway or cumin. After flowering, this cultivated plant forms poppy-like capsules in which the seeds, the so-called black cumin, are found. Black cumin is mainly cultivated in Asia and the Orient, where it finds enough sun to thrive. Black cumin is considered in many places as the most successful natural remedy of the past ten years. In the Orient the oil is highly estimated since more than 3000 years as a spice and remedy. Already the Islamic prophet Mohammed wrote in his book "Hadith" the symbolic sentence: "Black cumin heals every illness except death".
Mode of action - Laboratory tests brought to light that the unsaturated fatty acids of the poppy-like black cumin seeds serve as a precursor for the synthesis of our body substances prostaglandin El and E2 and thus have a direct influence on our immune system. Water - the basis of our life!
The main component of the human body is water. The quality of the water we consume every day has a decisive influence on our well-being, our health and our life expectancy. With each sip you decide whether you consume dead and polluted water or treat your body to living and healthy water.
Water and its secrets - For the quality of drinking water, not only its chemical composition is decisive. Water is not only H2O. The groundbreaking findings of the world-famous pioneer of water research, Dr. Masaru Emoto, have shown that water is not just H2O: Water has memory. Water can be positively changed by external influences.
EDELSTEINWASSER "Noble Water"
Gemstones have attracted and fascinated us since time immemorial. Diamonds, rubies and emeralds are precious all over the world. Gemstones have always been appreciated not only for their unique appearance, but also for their numerous properties and healing properties. Stone medicine is one of the oldest sciences of civilization. The ancient Greeks knew already about the special effect of gemstones and made use of them by adding selected stones to their drinking water. In the medicine of Hildegard of Bingen (1098 - 1179) gemstones were also a central component. Today she is regarded as a pioneer of alternative medicine.
The VitaJuwel method
In the past, gemstones were often placed directly in the water and had to be cleaned at great expense. Despite careful cleaning, stones still give off substances (e.g. parent rock) that are drunk in the traditional way. With VitaJuwel such dangers are excluded. The preparation of gemstone water using VitaJuwel ViA is the most hygienic and efficient method of enjoying fresh gemstone water. (Source: VitaJuwel)
